Description

Product Overview
Bax is a key pro-apoptotic member of the BCL-2 family proteins. It plays a crucial role in regulating mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization (MOMP) and initiating the intrinsic apoptosis pathway. Upon apoptotic stimuli, Bax translocates from the cytosol to mitochondria, where it oligomerizes and forms pores, leading to the release of cytochrome c.

Protocol
Western Blot Protocol:
1. Load 20-30 μg protein per lane
2. Transfer to PVDF membrane
3. Block with 5% non-fat milk in TBST, 1hr
4. Incubate primary antibody 1:1000 overnight at 4°C
5. Wash 3x with TBST
6. Incubate HRP-secondary 1:5000, 1hr
7. Wash and detect with ECL
1. Load 20-30 μg protein per lane
2. Transfer to PVDF membrane

4. Incubate primary antibody 1:1000 overnight at 4°C
5. Wash 3x with TBST
