Proper storage and handling instructions

Antibody Storage & Handling Guide

Proper storage is essential for maintaining antibody activity and specificity.

Storage Guidelines

  • Store at -20°C for long-term storage (up to 1 year)
  • For short-term use (up to 1 month), store at 4°C
  • Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles - aliquot and freeze
  • Add 50% glycerol for storage at -20°C without freezing
  • Keep antibodies in the dark to prevent photodamage
  • Do not use sodium azide with HRP-conjugated antibodies

Handling Tips

  • Vortex briefly and centrifuge before use
  • Use fresh pipette tips to avoid cross-contamination
  • Keep antibodies on ice during experiments
  • Dilute in appropriate buffer just before use
